Shakeology Birthday Cake Recipes for Lucky #7

Shakeology is 7 years old today! We remember when Shakeology was just a little baby in 2009 with only 2 flavors. Now there are 7 different flavors (Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry, Greenberry, Chocolate Vegan, Tropical Strawberry Vegan and ah, yes Cafe Latte) and each one is a different form of awesome. Before you make a mad dash to the store to buy Shakeology a giant birthday present, we have to stop you. Shakeology is actually going to GIVE presents on its 7th Birthday in the form of exclusive Shakeology Birthday Cake Recipes. Of course they’re healthy and of course they have the container portion equivalents. Oh, and of course they’re delicious.

First, we introduce the Birthday Cake Shake:

Red Velvet Birthday Cake Shakeology

  • ⅔ cup water
  • ⅓ cup unsweetened beet juice
  • 1 scoop Vanilla Shakeology
  • ¼ cup reduced-fat (2%) plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tsp. raw honey

Devil’s Food Birthday Balls**

(Makes 12 servings, 1 each)

  • 1 cup dates, pitted
  • Warm water
  • ½ cup chopped raw walnuts
  • ½ cup chopped raw almonds
  • ½ cup Chocolate Shakeology
  • ¼ tsp. sea salt (or Himalayan salt)
  • 2 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
  1. Soak dates in water for 10 minutes; drain well. Set aside.
  2. Place walnuts and almonds in food processor (or blender). Pulse until finely ground.
  3. Add Shakeology and salt. Pulse until well mixed. Place in a medium bowl. Set aside.
  4. Place dates in food processor (or blender). Pulse until finely chopped. Place in a small bowl. Set aside.
  5. Return nut mixture to food processor (or blender). Pulse, adding a small amount of dates at a time, until a dough consistency is achieved.
  6. Roll dough in balls about 2 Tbsp. each.
  7. Roll balls in cocoa powder.
